Gary began a lifelong career in the fire industry as a trained fire fighter in the armed forces. Later joining the British Fire Service he served for 24 years, the last fifteen spent in Fire Protection and Fire Safety Enforcement.
Successfully completing the majority of nationally accredited fire safety courses on offer at the fire service college Gary has put into practice the knowledge gained to assess many building types. He is fully qualified in offering a range of services including a common sense approach to fire risk assessments, passive fire protection surveys and fire engineering solutions in all commercial and residential premises. Gary is also a member of the IFE.
Previously a fire safety manager in multiple large metropolitan boroughs Gary led teams of enforcement officers and has extensive knowledge of fire safety legislation, how it is applied and what cost effective measures can be implemented to satisfy life safety requirements in buildings.
Backing up his experience he gained a first class with honours degree in fire engineering in 2011. He has been involved in a number of projects both within and since leaving the Fire Service; negotiating with approval authorities on fire safety designs and proposals, providing solutions to meet with regulatory authority approval whilst maintaining the most cost effective and aesthetic design criterion for clients.
